Easy, Healthy, Delicious DIY Mayo

Why make your own Mayo?
Because it’s so easy, It’s healthy, unlike the processed junk from the store and it tastes so much better. Plus you can try so many different flavors. Last time I tried out a few different spices and my husband said it was Awesome! Best mayonnaise he’d ever had…Boy did that make my day.

When I first started making mayo I had read so many recipes that made it sound like mayo took a lot of time and ingredients. That is so NOT TRUE. It takes 3 basic ingredients and about 1 minute of your time. You probably already have all of these ingredients in your kitchen. Which is always a win.


So what do you need? 

  1. Oil (Many people use Olive Oil, I do not like the taste so I use Avocado oil)
  2. 1 Egg (does not have to be sat out for room temp, just right out the fridge is totally fine)
  3. Vinegar or Lemon Juice (whatever you have or like to use)
  4. Immersion Blender
  5. Mason Jar

Now if you want to add different flavors some of our favorite add ins are:

  • Spicy Mustard
  • Salt, Pepper
  • Garlic

Have some fun with seasonings. And if you come up with something that makes your spouse say AWESOME, shoot me the recipe lol.

  1. I have always wondered how mayo, specifically the garlicky ones, are made. I have to try this simple recipe but I have to look for an immersion blender first. Hahaha.
