Looking for a grain free donut?
We went years without donuts before we started experimenting with almond flour.
Honestly the first time I made them we weren’t expecting much but WOW they are yummy.
My kids said they like them better than the old donuts that hurt their tummies.
Not only are they delicious but they are so easy to make!
We make ours with maple syrup but you can easily make them low carb as well.
One thing I love about this recipe is you can add berries, chocolate chips, pumpkin, and many other options to have a variety.
Moma Thrift's Almond Flour Donuts
- 1 cup Almond flour
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or sugar substitute
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla also great 1/2 vanilla 1/2 almond extract
- 3 TBSP cacao For chocolate version
Preheat the oven to 300.
Mix together wet ingredients then add in dry.
Pour into well-oiled donut pan.
Bake for 20 mins
Recipe NotesFor toppings, we like to dip them in melted coconut oil and a cinnamon sugar mixture. Or make a glaze with powdered sugar.
Try these out and let me know what you think!
